I went out the other night and when I arrived at my friends house I parked in the Driveway, and Manually locked the doors, (The Fob Switch is not working, and I am going to replace the switch, just haven't done it yet.), So as I said I locked it manually with no issues. So after a few hours I walk out and unlock the car again with no issues, it was about a half an hour drive home in cool weather. So I get home and start to get out and lock the car and it feels like there is nothing in the tumblers? I twist and turn the key in the Lock and nothing happens, and it feel like the everything has been removed from the lock itself? So, since I was driving the car and I used the lock less then a half an hour ago I know that no one was playing with the locks.

I get in the car to see if the Power locks work from inside the car, at first no, then I backed the car up a few feet and try again and this time they worked with no issue, so I guessed that it was just acting "buggy" because of the weather? I get out and try the key in the door again, and still nothing from the locks, it is like there is nothing in the tumbler?

So, now I cannot lock the car from outside of the car? I am going to try and take the Door Panel off this weekend and see if maybe there is a wiring problem, but I am hoping someone here has had a similar problem and there is an easier fix? Any ideas??

Yes, this is common especially on older cars.

Do a search here (include Boxster since they share the same door assembly) - chances are either the cable has come loose or the lever. Worse case the lock is worn out and fallen apart.

The part 17 turns the plastic thing that sticks out of the lock. I

think the plastic part is broken. I do not have a real good

picture of the plastic part but it does fit into the unlocking stuff.
