Bumper removal is slightly different than the 996 series and is covered here in other posts.

Once you get the bumper off cleaning the radiators and AC condensers is exactly the same. There is even a video in the Videos section.

Are you talking oil temp or water temp. If it's oil temp then 9 o'clock is about right, just above 200F. If you're talking water temp then that's at 175F or 12 o'clock

Yep. Was referring to OIL temp :-)

At the shop may need a water pump small leak is running kinda hot 225.

Thanks

Oil temp of 225 is normal for these cars when it's warm out and they are fully warmed up. In cooler weather 200 or so for your oil would be about right. My '07 will run 200 or so unless the ambient temp is over 80 at which point I've seen 225 on many occasions without any issues. If your water temp is 175, that's normal as well. In fact my water temp has never been a degree above or below 175 once it's warmed up since I've owned it.

The coolant temperature gauge on the 997 is known to be "dumb". It is apparently placed in such a location that it does not indicate the actual highest temperature in the motor. Any time that the temperature gauge goes over 175 degrees can be a matter of concern. In 5 years of operation, the only time it ran over was on a 90 degree + day when part of the plastic ducting under the car was busted up after running over a "road alligator".
