Rear Screen Rubber

Hello,

Recently at my 40k(kms) service, I asked the service manager if he could glue down the bottom left corner of the rear screen rubber. When I came back he replied to that short of replacing the whole rubber, nothing could be done. The problem is is that if you glued or sealed it in any way it would trap water or debris inside. It sort of sounded logical, but does anyone have any other suggestions on how to get the rubber to sit down properly. Its not a huge problem, but to me it stands out like you know what!!

You don't say what year car you have but there is a TSB for for both front and rear windscreen seals on early cars. In some cases the rear seal was missing a foam rubber cord. In both cases the fix is to remove the windows and replace damaged and/or missing seals.

Thanks Loren-it is a 98.Also, would you know roughly the cost of a rubber seal-rear (98 996 carrera coupe)

Looks like the two seals are about $50 each.
