I replaced my 3rd brake light last week and noticed that my cruise-control stopped working, does anyone know how much ohm resistor you need to be able to use led 3rd taillight? i only had a 6-ohm here but that didn't seem to fix the issue..

Any help is appreciated.

Seems odd that the two would be tied together. Check fuses and/or revert back to stock third light to determine if it's the problem.

They are .. revert to the stock light.. cruise works again.. i checked the fuses, cruise and brakes are on the same fuse group.. maybe thats why..

I do not remember the solution. But is has been mentioned before. A LED draws less power than an incandescent 12 volt bulb. Cruise does not work if the brake bulbs are burned out, or if the computer thinks they are because the voltage draw from the LEDs is less than what the computer wants to see. So you use a resistor to trick the computer into seeing the electrical draw it is happy with. But you already knew that..
