hey guys, the cel on my MY2000 S just came on past weekend. i took it to a local auto zone and had it read and i got cel P1276 and P0153.

now my question is not which O2 sensor this is or how to replace it. my question is, is this normal? the reason i ask is i had the same cel back in december 2007 and i had the o2 sensor replaced. in march 2010, i got cel P0133 and P0153 and had the 2 O2 sensors replaced as well. basically i get cel P0153 repeatedly and changing the same O2 sensor. should there be something wrong or was it just a bad o2 sensor i got?

please advise. thank you.

well for CEL P1276 and P0153 means "Aging of Oxygen Sensor Ahead of Catalytic Converter (Cylinders 4 - 6) - Below Lower Limit".

isn't "Bosch 15182 Oxygen Sensor - OE Type Before Catalyst" correct?

3 fault causes listed

– Oxygen sensor ahead of TWC

– Leak ahead of TWC or in the area of the

oxygen sensor after TWC

– Wiring (oxygen sensors exchanged)

What does the sensor when removed look like? Was it in snug? What does the throttle body look like? Oil covered? AOS OK? Is there a leak in the exhaust system? Stock exhaust/headers/Cats? Sensors go 50k miles even on the pre-cats ones that seem to fail earlier than the post-cats located ones. So what could it be that is either fouling the sensor or causing a false reading? Everything running OK?

Your part# looks good. I used em in a 2001 on both pre-cats sensors.
