Looking at 997-1 Turbo's

Starting to look at 997-1 Turbo's. I have driven the 997-1 and the new 997-2. Although the new one is an improvement I'm fine with the 997-1. I'd like to have one with about 25k on the clock. The going price for what I want seems to be about $72k to $79K. What do you fellas think about prices in your area? I'm in Los Angeles.

I think you are in the ballpark. I purchased a 07 CPO Turbo with 15k miles for 77k in Houston. You will enjoy it!

Phil, I was just thinking about a turbo myself to eventually replace my poor totaled C2S, but an '05 or a 996TT would be better suited to my budget. From reading numerous posts re IMS ssues, the 3.6 turbos seem to be free of that problem. How pronounced is the 'turbo lag'? And do they make the same wonderful deep-chested noises as the big 3.8? I'd go out and drive one myself, but the DMV won't let me do so for another 3 mos.

Don't know if you are still looking but I picked up an '08 TT with 8k miles, tiptronic, upgraded leather for 90k. It is a brand new car for all intents and purposes. I love it. An absolute beast.

Mine had 35K miles but had all the options I wanted and is a CPO car. Got it for $75k It's freakin awesome as you know!
