Does anyone know the location of the DME on a 996 cab? Alldata said it's behind the rear seat, but I don't think I can get behind the rear seat on a cabrio. Please let me know...

Best regards,

Under the driver's seat

Sorry, that is wrong. The alarm/central locking is under the drivers seat.

The DME is behind the service panel between the top storage and the engine.

Modscars has a pictorial of how to get to the top controller that will also get you to the DME here.

Look at step 6 -- the DME is the silver box at the far right (passenger side of the car).

Thank you! Yea, I've read a few post that said it was under the seat. I knew somebody would know. Awesome forum!

Cheers,
