Hi, I have a '97 Boxster and recently the electronic forward seat tilt adjustment stopped working. The backwards tilt still works and and kept fiddling with it and now the seat is tilted all the way back against the rear windscreen. Is there a mechanical way that I can reset the positioning of the seat forward again? Is there a way that I can troubleshoot the electrical problem without taking the seat out (I'm pretty novice with electronics)?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Tim:

Not sure about how to troubleshoot the seat back mechanism, but if you are going to remove the seat, be very sure to disconnect the battery first so as to avoid setting off the airbag light.

If the airbag light stays on, you can only reset it with a Durametri, PST2 or PIWIS.

Regards, Maurice.

there could be too much tension against the rear,,, slide it a bit forward then see what happens.

Yes there is a way to trouble shoot this, but U'll have to remove the seat first.
