The other day my heater started blowing hot air and when i turned the heat level down, it increased the fan and heat, will not blow cold air. any ideas

It can be different things as temp. sensors, servo motors, etc. A diagnostic tool should help to read out any existing fault code.

took car into garage, arm had come of flapper that controls heat and air conditioing flow, put arm back on works great

I'm having the same issue with my 2003 Cab. I get cold air on recirculate, hot air otherwise. This also happened previously when the car was under warranty and they said that the flap had slipped on the shaft. I'm assuming it's the same issue now, sooo.....

Are these shafts and flap accessable? Pictures? I'll use a little Loctite if I can get to the flaps/shafts.
