I have the dreaded spoiler failure on my 01 Turbo. The spoiler goes up, generates the error, and will not go down. I can shut the car down, re-start it, and then lower it using the button on the dash.

I am told by the dealer that they want to solder a new connector on the harness. I thought I read that PCNA required, or offered, a new harness kit for that. Any answers as to the correct way to fix this would be great! I don't want the dealer soldering on my car unless it's necessary...

Thank you.

Hmm... I don't know of a new harness. Only new harnesses are for TT Aerokit and Cab. Have they checked the two microswitches? And have they done Scouser's trick of cleaning the connector electrical connections (corrosion)?

Thanks, the dealer replaced part of the harness. I picked the car up this morning, driving it home I got the same spoiler failure warning the first time it went up... Back again...

Thanks for your suggestions!

On mine, I think they said the factory found out that the ground strap wasn't thick enough and they were getting a voltage drop under certain conditions that would cause the spoiler to malfunction.
