I have searched the forum for any help with this issue but I cannot find anything so I have to create a new topic.

The navigation in my US purchased, 2002 Boxster S was (I thought) completely dead after being garaged for 5 months. It turned out that the navigation as well as the radio works fine but the screen is dim/without light. I can see the letters/numbers but only in a certain light (direct sunlight makes it easier to see what is on the screen, when it is dark it is hard/impossible to see) and when I punched in the PCM code, the radio started working.

Does anyone of you have experience of this?

The unit is a Becker 2582 with a Siemens module. I have attached a photo of the unit.

I hope anyone can help me with something to try/check. Are there any fuses inside the unit or are they all on the outside?
