Had an issue for a couple years now - when I turn my HVAC all the way off (zero bars) it will make a click click noise. As long as I don't turn it all the way off, everything works just fine - I can run the fan, etc.

Any ideas? How tough a fix is this?

Hummm. Mine makes a click click noise when its set to outside air. When I turn it to recirc it quits. Mine is the flapper motor which is literally the last part between the AC unit under the dash and the wall of the car. You might take a look with a flash light. I can see mine twitching.

Sometimes a piece of weatherstripping foam falls into the path and makes the flap stick.

Remove the pollen filter and check with a flashlight or or by reaching inside (fan off please!).

Mine is doing the same. When lowering fan speed to OFF, the click, click, click is there for about 10 seconds and it's gone after that...
