I stored my 1984 928S in a heated garage for winter. Started her up this weekend and she runs great. However, the turn signal indicator is dimly lit all the time. The flashers work fine and all bulbs are ok. From the moment I turn the key, even before starting engine, the signal lites up. I replaced the relay. Same problem. Also, not sure if related, my central warning indicator is on and cannot be reset. I checked the category A issues (brake fluid, oil, oil pressure, etc.) and everything seems fine. When I activate the flasher, right or left, the signal indicator flashes as normal but the warning indicator also dims with the flashing of the trun signals... like they are pulling from same current? Any ideas out there? Thanks!! Tim

There is a mass of ground connections at the fuse block, remove and clean, that helps with odd electrical issues in these cars.

adding additional instruction

Turn the key to the second position and verify that all the warning lights are functioning. The "!" will stay on if one of the lights are burnt out. Additionally, the "!" will light in certain charging situations where the alt isn't producing enough voltage even though the gauge shows it is.
