Need Help To Get Kts 520 & Piwis To Work...

Hello All,

I have a laptop version of PIWIS. V24 software.

I am having trouble connecting it to my Bosch KTS520.

When I do a firmware update on the KTS, it seems ok. No error messages. Then I try to diagnose and I get a error message that says,"Software in KTS521(sic) not up to date. Update using PIWIS Offline Client"

Does this make any sense at all? How do I get new firmware or for that matter, how do I check firmware for the KTS520?

hello, i am looking at buying KTS 520 or 540 and putting it together with IBM T23 with PIWIS v26 software (which I already have). I keep seeing KTS boxes with UBOX 1 and UBOX 2 cables and some esi sowftware (i am buying a used one). Do i need any of these UBOX cables? should i care about subscription for KTS box from Bosch (which must be revnewed every year from what i understood). I have a 2009 Cayenne which is likely to be the only car I will connect this box to so if anybody can advise I would greatly appreciate your help.

have you checked dk forums? there is a lot of info, and you can get the update for v26 which is v27, from there also.

I'm currently looking to make mine working and guess I'll go for a kts also, even if many are going with the a T30 laptop . Some are saying that they use the original PIWIS cable(450eur), while many are using the KTS cables. I dont think you'll need to renew the licence from Boshc as you'll be using an image of piwis.
