All,

I've just bought a 2006 Cayenne 3.2. A quick question... It has the standard A/C with just the fan and temp controls. When I change the temp controls, there's a brief clicking type sound. Is this normal? The car's under 12 months warranty so I could get it fixed.

Thanks,

Alistair

The clicking sound is caused by the temp. flap/motor combination, this happens not completely noiseless. Since the car is still covered with warranty, i would check it out for sure and peace of mind.

Yea theres a slight noise from the flaps moving for a few seconds but if its a continuous click for a long time then you have a problem. theres a typical problem on the servo motors where it just continuously clicks.

The motors only like $100 but the labors like $700.

The noise is only for a second or two after the temp change, so I guess it's nothing to worry about. I'll get them to check it before the warranty runs out. Thanks for the feedback.
