Hi Everybody

My name is Andrew and i have recently bought a 997.1 C2s in green which is my first ever porsche and i must say i love the car to bits. My car is going in to the dealership soon for a service and a check over as my warrenty is due for renewal and i was thinking of having some upgrades carried whilst it is there.

I have been reading on here that there are bigger thottle bodies that can be fitted and/or the GT3 underdrive pulley and belt which may or may not help with thottle response. I know my car is due for a clutch any time soon and i was thinking of having the dealership do it whilst it was there. What im thinking is would it be better to price up and have fitted a GT3 flywheel and clutch and the GT3 under drive pulley which could be a basis for any other future mod/upgrades.

Does anybody know the part numbers and prices for the clutch and flywheel?

Thanks

Andrew

:welcome:

The GT3 clutch and flywheel will not fit.

Although the body styles look very similar the GT3 engine is completely different from the 997-1. GT3 uses the same engine as the 997TT - but without turbo-charging.

Thanks Loren for the infomation.

Could anyone suggest which flywheel to fit ie. an original unit or a single mass unit from sharkwerks or another performance company.

Thanks

Andrew

I'm putting down a little over 420 at the rear wheels with the stock clutch...no problems to date.

Enjoy!
