Loren,

I've got a CDR23 in a 2003 Bolxster that is original to the car. I had the radio out this weekend and when I plugged it back in "Protect" came up in the display. I took it to a local Porsche shop today and they said that their tester wasn't reading the radio. Do you have any suggestions that I might give them to help them reset it?

Thx, Lyn

Sounds like it needs to be re-coded to the car.

The procedure is in TSB 5/02 9110 Activating the CD Radio Porsche CDR 23.

If that process does not work then there is likely a fault with the radio.

Loren,

I went through the list of TSBs for both the 996 and 986 and although there are several listed as 9110, none have the 05/02 ID.

Thx,

Lyn
