Try Meguire's Cleaner and Polish for a thorough cleaning and Plexus for more regular cleaning.

I've always had good luck with Meguiar's products for this. I remove scratches with their #17 Clear Plastic Cleaner and follow it with their #10 Clear Plastic Polish. When I'm through the window looks like new.

I have used plain old cleaner wax or swirl remover to clean up a plastic rear window. Metal polish will also work pretty good.

Also, I'm not sure if I have shared this before, but there is an easy way to get at the back inside of a Cabriolet window without being a contortionist.

First raise the top part way like this:

Next find the 2 wire ropes, one on each side of the back of the top that holds the top in place:

Next, pop off the ends of the wire ropes from the bottom

Finally, lift up the back of the top for easy access to the inside of the rear window.

My car is an 02 with a glass window, but it is exactly the same for the earlier plastic window cars.

After you are done, follow the above steps in reverse.

Porsche sells some polish cream which is made for the rear plastic window, works super.

I agree that Meguiar's # 17 then #10 work well together. Maintain with Meguiar's # 18 or Plexus. I also have had good luck with 3M Imperial Hand Glaze to initially remove stains and exterior hazing. Make sure that the cloth you use to apply and clean will not scratch window.

If you are good with a good orbital polisher, and U have nerves of steel, it is possible to polish scratches out of the plastic with the machine and a very fine polish. Keep moving the machine around. You don't want to get that plastic too hot from friction of the polishing pad.

A local new Porsche dealer put loads of scratches in my plastic window and the machine helped. Some were too deep to attempt to remove.

There is nothing like Novus 1, 2 & 3 for restoring a hazy or scratched up window. If you follow the instructions, you can bring back almost any window to like new clarity.

But, does it stay that way? In my experience, mine pretty much back to where it was within a couple of weeks (with Meguiar's PlastX) . :(

If you give it a couple of treatments with the #1 and #2, then you only have to use the # 3 to maintain the clarity. The #1 is the most abrasive, #2 is less abrasive, and # 3 just polishes it. It wont go back to cloudy as quickly as you describe, even if you don't treat it anymore.
