Looking In Getting A 2007 Targa 4. I Have Some ?'s

Hi everyone, I'm new to the board so please excuse me if I ask any stupid questions.

I am getting rid of my BMW 335 Convertible and am going to get a 2007 Targa 4.

My ?'s:

  1. Is there any outside differences btw the Targa 4 and the Targa 4s besides the quad tail pipe and the badge?
  2. The car does not have PCM can I install the OEM PCM afterwards? What parts do I need?
  3. The standard steering wheel is too thin? Is the sport steering wheel thicker? Can I easily install the sport steering wheel afterwards?
  4. Can I install the PSE in this car? What is the part number?

  • Mechanically the 4S has the 3.8 engine as well as suspension changes and bigger brakes. But cosmetically I don't think so... (I could be wrong on this and I'm sure someone will correct me if I am.)

  • This would be very cost prohibitive and does not make any sense.

  • Yes you can get a sports wheel for about $2k+ Try to find a car with the wheel you want already on it..
  • Can I install the PSE in this car? What is the part number?
  • Try to find a car that already has PSE. Porsche has tripled the price lately and does not make financial sense to add on later. Theere are other after market exhausts to chosse if you want to spend that kind of cash..
