2004 Cayenne S 95k miles:

I have noticed some movement and a thud from a dead stop in the driveline the last 6 months and have not been able to pin point it (nor could the dealer) . I just noticed green greasy fluid today leaking towards the drivers side front of the truck. Does any one have experience changing the motor mount and or can you get me a diagram or tell me the process to do this? Do you think it's the mount? Is it a DIY?

Thanks,

Craig

I have only seen a dark purple colour fluid leak from the mounts. Can you see where the fluid is originating from??

It was dripping down the front where the sway bar attaches to the suspension. You would think it was coolant coming from the radiator but the coolant is red.

You need to remove the lower engine cover for a proper look, could be P/S fluid as it's olive green in colour.

You are correct! It looks like it's a power steering hose leak. Any tips on how to fix or how to pinpoint the exact location of the leak?

I narrowed down what is leaking. It is a bright green dye that is in the AC system. I removed the drivers side wheel well and the under carriage covers. It is leaking out one of the AC lines. I am having trouble seeing which one is leaking because it sprays the green dye all over the area . Any thoughts?

Refer to a A/C specialist. They will evacuate the system and pressurize it with nitrogen gas which is the best way to find leaks. There are multiple hoses and fitting which could be at fault.

I have had a looseness in the under carriage of my 2004 cs for a while. The dealer can't seem to pinpoint it. If I accellerate hard you feel the shaft move but I can't seem to find it. I had one drive shaft replaced and after asking the dealer what they thought they replaced the shaft again. They felt there was too much movement in the shaft but they could not find anything loose. It's very apparrent when you accelerate hard something is shifting and thumping underneath. If I ease into the throttle everything is fine. I checked the sway bar but saw no signs of any looseness or broken bushings. Could it be a motor mount or suspension mount and how would I check this?
