I have the oil drained and the sensor screws out but can't get the sensor out. It seems like every way you turn it it just won't slip out. Anyone done this?

The o-ring can weld itself to the oil pan so a little effort can shift it. Be sure to carefully clean the sealing surfaces to prevent leaks.

It dropped out of the pan with no issues, it won't fit through the aluminum crossmember and the oil pan. I turned it every direction for an hour and a half and just had to reinstall the old one.

Do you have the right part number? It should be 948.606.140.00 sender and 948.606.240.00 o-ring

I need to replace the sender on a friends ride...his mechanic "forgot" to do it and he has the parts. Looks straight forward but your comment about the "crossmember" making the removal difficult. Can you elaborate?

Is this something I will not be able to get to unless I remove something else? I haven't see the car yet to tell myself until this weekend.
