I have 2000 Carrera and the footwell light have stopped working. I've tried the switch in all 3 positions and they dont come on. The fuse assignment chart in the fuse box doesnt mention these lights. I thought maybe C3 but the power windows are on that fuse too and they work. Maybe A5 or E1 but they also connect to other devices that still work. So I checked all of the fuses and they all look good. I havent been able to check the bulbs yet but they should both go out at once. I'm assuming there are 2 bulbs down there. The center overhead light doesnt come on either. Does anybody know what fuse this would be? or any ideas what else this might be?

thanks,

Did you push the overhead button to turn those lights off?

As I recall they run off the central locking/alarm control box. Fuse C3. So if the alarm is working the problem is likely elsewhere.

The footwell lights get power from the bus panel. Power routes through the two relays and then to the lights. If your bulbs are good then you probably need to check out the relays. I believe the relays are located in positions 14 and 15 on the relay panel down by the fuse panel. Unfortunately, I am not sure how to check the relays other than swapping them out. However, if memory serves, these are pretty spendy relays. Perhaps someone has a method for testing them.
