Cel - After Fill Up. Not Flashing, Idles Roughly Very Slightly

Driving back home from LA to San Francisco. Had a fill up in San Luis Obisbo and drove away, then 3min later my CEL comes on and the car feels like it lacks torque or strength. Once I am on the highway, it drove ok, nothing different noticeable, only when taking off (lack of torque).

So I dropped off my car at the airport parking in Santa Maria and I plan to buy an OBD reader. From reading on the board here, it seems it could be as simple as a bad gas cap or that I didnt originally seal it right when I closed it (very possible as I was distracted chatting up this cute blond across from me).

Just wanted to get a feel for what you guys think about the CEL and if you think it will be safe to drive back to SF. Should I just go ahead and buy a new gas cap?

Give it a few drives cycles. If it does not go off on it's own within a week then get a (good) code reader.
