Well I just got my new Durametric enthusiast kit.

post-26847-127142642108_thumb.jpg

Plugged it in and got this:

P0430-Porsche fault code 45- cat conversion bank 2

exceeds limit value

P1411-Porsche fault code 208- Secondary air injection system

cylinder(4-6)

Any idea's

Is this a serious fault is it ok to drive?

Thanks in advance guys.

P0430 TWC Conversion, Bank 2 – Above Limit

– Catalytic converter

P1411 Secondary Air Injection System, Bank 2 – Below Limit

Probable causes:

Secondary air injection pump does not function - fuse, relay, wiring

Air supply lines restricted - check lines

Electric change-over valve does not function - check valve function

Air change-over valve does not function - check valve function

Vacuum system leaking - check for vacuum leaks

I would check and fix the P1411 first then reset the codes and see if the P0430 comes back or not.

cheers Loren,

As always a fast & thorough reply,

I'll have it checked this weekend,

But can it do any harm do you think if I drive the car over the next few days until the visit to the garage, as

this is the only form of transport for the moment?

Any do's & don'ts

cheers,

James

My 1998 996 C2 didn't have a secondary air injection system, as I believe they were only fitted to US cars.  (That's what the 1999 SIT says too).  Did they add it to RoW cars at a later date?

Hi

Can I ask how much this is and where I can get one shipped to an international destination? Also will the supplied software work with a mk2 gt3?

Thanks
