P/n For Front Plastic Underside Vent Pieces

On my 2001 Boxster S underneath the car as part of the plastic underside shield, there are two smaller molded plastic vents, one on each side near the nose. My car has been lowered by a previous owner and these vents have been worn badly due to scraping underneath going over bumps and such. It looks like the plastic pieces have a base of about 12"x14" and the vents are molded onto the base. I'm not sure exactly what the vents are covering, but it looks like a sensor of some sort.

I would like to replace them, but I don't know what part number to order.

Any ideas?

These are all the other underbody pieces - item 1 is the front cover.

It looks like #17, I believe. Is there a name for this piece?

Item 17 is called "heat protection" - that is near the rear I think.

Can you describe exactly where the piece is?

There are two vents like you describe, but they are toward the rear of the car (you said near the nose) and on either side of the center line. I don't think these can scrape no matter how much your car is lowered. Are you sure they are near the nose? If this sounds right, I can try to take a picture

Where are the vents you're trying to describe relative to the front (or rear) wheels?

I think item 17 is the rear-most piece of solid plastic and goes across much of the width of the car

The parts I am referring to are right in front of the front tires on either side and are sort of a curved triangular shaped piece of plastic. I'm sorry I am not describing this better. I will try and get a picture. Don't go to a lot of trouble trying to figure it out. It's my fault for not being more specific. It's not critical for now. I'll be back when I can better articulate what it is I am talking about.

There is an additional duct piece for Boxster S's (Boxster Esses?) not shown in the PET diagram for 986. It is in the 996 diagram, shown below, part #8. It seems to be the part that fits your description.

The Porsche part numbers are:

996.504.603.00 (left side / driver's side-USA)

996.504.604.00 (right side / passenger side-USA)
