Not sure if I am posting this in the right place. Does anyone know the likely culprits of a non-working rear window washer? The pump functions but only a few bubbles and a drip ever come out at the back. I have confirmed that there is no leak under the car (no hose is cut). Before I start tearing into the engine compartment, I'm hoping for guidance. Thanks!

A clogged rear washer nozzle is actually pretty common. If you think its clogged I wouldn't risk running the rear washer, if you run it too long the pressure will build up and it will pop a connection loose and your luggage compartment trim panels will be all wet (ask me how I know?) If you take off the roof spoiler that is covering the washer nozzle you'll be able to replace it in just a few minutes. You'll need a T30 socket or driver and a small screw driver to pry out the old nozzle. If you activate the pump with the old nozzle removed you should get a nice gush of water. You might want to test the new nozzle by hooking it up before actually installing it just to be sure everything is kosher as I've seen new nozzles that were also plugged up.

a common problem is that the pipe to the nozzle actually pops off.

mine's done it twice

if you remove the spoiler, you can see this easily - you can also fix it in 10 seconds !

I removed the nozzle and gave it a good clear out & clean, just in case some debris was inside, which was allowing the pressure to build up & pop the fed pipe off

works fine now
