I really hate my stock floor matts. They creep all over the place. Can anyone offer up a suggestion for aftermarket matts?

I would get some Lloyd mats. They are much better quality, thicker, and nicer looking than the overpriced stock mats. The Lloyd mats have a very secure fastening system that will not slip. It uses a plastic mounting tab/bracket and a fastex style clip to attach the mat.

Are you mats not locked down with either the velcro patches or the straps to the seat mounting bolts (depends on the year)?

I have the little velcro patches on the bottom but they don't stick to the carpet at all. The factory matts are just kind of...floppy looking if you ask me. I really hate floor matts anyway but I guess they are a necessary evil. I would like some crisp low profile looking matts that fit if they exist.

The little velcro patches need to match up with 4 plastic 'hook' disks mounted into the rug. These disks are about 3" in diameter with a plastic screw underneath. Just screw them into the rug in an area underneath the velcro disks on your mats. With this setup you won't have any more problems.

Oh, that makes sense. I guess those never were placed in the car. I'll have to order some from my dealer. Thanks.

Should not have to order as they should have come with the mats. You may want to check all the storage bins to see if you have them already. Also check the pocket on the spare tire cover. Otherwise the dealer should give you a set gratis.

This is what they look like. They screw into the oem carpet. Should had been in the box that the matts come in. What sometimes happens the box is thrown away and they are still in the box.

My floor mats creep intolerably; I looked them over when I first noticed the problem, and found a pair of plastic clips on the back end of the mats. I couldn't figure out what they hook to, however, and concluded they may have been after market or something.

So they clip to the seat mounting bolts, huh? Is there a ring or hook of some sort on the bolts?

Thanks.

They clip to the seat rails. Slide your seat back on remove the 2 plastic caps on the end of the rails. On some cars there is a phillips screw on one of the caps.

You need the plastic retaining straps. They should have come with the car mats.
