I know this may stir some opinion but that's O.K. I have a 99 996 3.4 6spd with 72k miles and from the service records have the original spark plugs. It is time to change them out and not have afterthoughts. Believing some members here work in garages and may have experienced different issues, may I have some input on the best plugs and part# on the current market. Thanks, Robert.

Over the years I have tried Bosch +4 plugs in other cars and found that in every case they had lower performance than the original plugs. I just did the plugs in my 03 C4 and decided to get rid of Bosch and go with NGK. The car only has 30K miles but still had the original factory plugs so I knew it was due. I was not suprised to see the engine run much smoother, more power and especially more low speed torque. Pelican Porsche carries both the Bosch and NGK. NGKs are half the price but twice the performance.

Those NGK's must be something if they give twice the performance!!

Went back through my service records and found plugs had been changed at 60k mile service. Shucks, I was almost looking forward to changing them and the tubes after all the good write ups here. Do we sometimes do more to our car's than necessary?
