I am getting a oil indicator faulty signal when I start the car.

The oil indicator gauge reads 0 while driving.

Any one have a DIY on replacing the gauge in the dash panel.

I will post how I repaired it and print some pictures when I install the new one.

I think the magnetic in the gage just wore out.

Thanks for your help.

It is part 45 in this picture and it looks to be on

top of the motor.

I think it is part #996 606 203 00.

I will phone up Suset monday and look into the part.

The oil pressure gage on the dash reads 0 psi.

I tried looking for this part. Do you know what side

I should be looking on? Passenger or driver's side

USA car?

Oil pressure sender is on the right side (passenger side).

Many times the connector wire is loose, gets knocked off, or is broken.

If the wire and connector are intact then replace the sender unit. Replacement is the same as the 996 which has been covered here a few times.
