2003 Boxster S

I am looking for the part number for the plastic trim piece between the hood and windshield. This is the trim piece that the windshield wiper sits on top off. I searched this and other forums as well as looking at the actual 986 parts list pdf and can't find the part number for it.

That does not look like what I need replaced. The pictured item for the part number listed looks like it is underneath the front hood. I'm looking for the piece between the hood and windshield directly under the wipers.

Thanks. I'll order the cowl. I can't find "996.672.931.00 Gasket -- US MSRP $10.32" at pelicanparts.com or anywhere else for that matter. Do I really need it?
