Hi,

I have a 2007 987 that is only 2.5 years into the warranty, but I'm nearing 50K miles... I'd love to just augment the number of miles it's covered for, and I've used Roadside Assistance a few times now, so I'd like that included with all major work...

What are my options both inside and outside California? Both Porsche and non-Porsche ones. I'd ideally like to cover at least 75-100k miles and another 1.5-3.5 years from when it expires (so really just looking at a 4-6 year from first ownership).

Thanks!

Hey Arad:

When I went looking for an extended warranty for a 06' 997 C2 with 31k, my research told me that there are really only two non-Porsche players that can trusted:

1. http://easycare.com/; Accredited by BBB, backed by Motor Trend and Insured by Zurich

2. www.warrantydirect.com ; Accredited by BBB, and referenced by several on this site

I decided to go with EasyCare...even signed the paperwork, but then found out (and this is a long story) that a former CPO warranty would still apply - EasyCare gave back the deposit with no questions asked; I'll likely go back to them once the CPO runs out. I believe EasyCare's price for Primary Care was $2500 for up to 4 years or 60k.

Let us know what you decide.

I have Easycare as well. Got another 4 years and 40k miles for my 06 997 for $2800. Bumper to bumoer with roadside assist and will cover road hazards such as tire punctures and wheel damage. $100 deductable. Can take car to any Porsche dealer or authorized mechanic. Any mods (unless Porsche) will void coverage. (exhaust, chip, springs etc.) The warranty is also tranferrable.

My dealer recommended them (Easy Care) over others because they know Porsches..

Good luck..
