I need some assitance in Jumping the PINS on my 03 996 in order to stop the rear spolier light. I read the TSB which states jump pin 2 to Pin 5. However it aslo reads "new" harness. I havent changed the harness and I am looking for a way to stop the warning light without purchasing a new harness. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I did search the forum and cannot find any direction specifically to this issue.drive1.gif

To clarify, its the warning light that I need to disable, thanks!

What harness part number did you use?

Is the car a coupe or a cab?

Which spoiler did you install?

Thanks for the reply Loren, I have a Coupe, and I installed a GT3 aero fixed wing with no harness.

I appreciate the help!!!

I think you were reading the wrong TSB. The "Aerokit Cup" for the early cars (MY99-01) had instructions on how to jumper the harness but the later version does not.

You are installing the "Aerokit Cup II" (for MY02-05) which only has the harness as an option. The harness you would need is 996.612.070.51 Wiring Harness - US MSRP $123.71

Try board sponsor Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost) for a better price. You will find a Link near the top right of any page.
