my 2000 C2 will turn 60,000 km where it needs a scheduled major service,, anyone knows what are the jobs done and parts replaced in major services?

just wonder where i can have a copy (free if possible) of the service/repair manual for 996 Carrera.

Welcome to the forums.

The maintenance schedules are posted on this site at http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?app=maint&do=maint_menu_car

The only known free service manual available is at http://cannell.co.uk/Manuals.htm , and is for the 1999 model year. however your car should be virtually identical.

i have been to the services schedule section and couldn't figure out when to replace transmission and differential oil,, when to replace them? any parts required?

Look in the "Additional Maintenance" link. Transmission oil is listed as a 90K mile / 160K KM service, which seems high to me. But then so does the Porsche motor oil change interval.
