Most the time when I'm backing up into a parking spot with a sharp turn my front wheels/tires make a noise...maybe as if I'm dragging sideways because of the near 90º turn. It also happen on a sharp slow turn moving forward.

Is this normal?

Normal.

Park the car with the wheel turned hard. Then look at

the wheels. you will

see why it makes noise.

I hear assorted clunks and creaks at a full lock steering angle on mine as well as my Honda Element, which has a greater steering lock angle than most front-drive cars. I would consider this normal. And welcome to the Forum!

I had the same problem with a previous 2005 997S. I took it to the dealer countless times to try to fix but to no avail.

Eventually I got so tired of it that I sold it and bought another one.

Thank you very much for your reply!

I was told before by the dealer that it was normal, but I just want to be sure.

Regards,
