So for the last several months I have been looking for a complete good 955 Turbo front end here in the US used. I can not find it anywhere. However every week I see one on ebay in germany, but no one wants to deal with customs forms and shipping hassles. It is worth it to buy it used, even with the 250-300 euro in shipping fees as it seems it will be more than half the price used than new.

Anyone willing to help me out?

If you know anyone in the US Military based in DE that is the ticket. They can ship to the US direct. Separate all the plastic parts from metal and ship in two boxes. Note the items as "used automotive accessories." The bumper box will be huge -- like the size of a bathtub but relatively light weight. Used is indeed the best way to go but the shipping, VAT, customs and hassle from the EU may not be worth it. Search craigslsit.org across all US cities and you may find what you want domestically. Otherwise buy new from Sunset Imports -- Renntech gets a solid discount. My mil contacts are no longer in the EU. Sorry I can't help more.

Ah well, yeah I used to live in Germany, military brat, didn't think about that. I have seen the lower turbo spoilers go for $100 and even with shipping it is like $500+ cheaper than here. I have been doing the craiglist thing, will continue for a few months until I give up and get all new :)

I'm in Germany and I don't think the APO will ship an item that large. Even though it's under 70lbs, it's much too large (I'm pretty sure) to be mailed through that system. DHL will probably be your best bet.

Even if the parts are mailed through the APO, the shipper will still need to fill out customs forms. It's not that much work to fill one of those out, and any customs fees are the buyer's responsibility - which you probably wouldn't have to pay if shipped from an APO. You might want to contact Porsche Centrum and ask them if they can help you out - maybe they can ship dealer-to-dealer for a lower rate. Worth a shot, and they speak English: info@porsche.de

Good luck!
