K&N or BMC filter size

Can’t find any aftermarket air filters for the 2010 gt3. Can I use the air filter which was made or 997-1 gt3? Is the air intake exactly the same on both cars?

Unless it is a GT3 RS the air cleaners are the same as earlier 997 GT3 and the 996 GT3.

IMHO - no.

It would make some difference on a turbo not much (if any) on a normally aspirated car.

Really not much of a difference on my GT3 RS, because the engine is normally aspirated.

While the intake "kit" may not yield much, the BMC or K&N factory replacement *filters* are worth it. They flow better than paper and will last the life of your vehicle. Easy to clean and reuse. Water doesn't bother them either.
