Is this a classic 911? Does anyone have a classic 911? :)

That looks like a fun car. Definitely a classic, but not original - looks like a 73 from the black horn grills with "S" front spoiler and "RS" rear spoiler. Also has US headlights and there are no US RS models (and obviously the wheels are late-model). However, that's a car that weighs less than 2,500 and he's hitting the track, so more power to him! :clapping:

You're absolutely correct, Grant. I'll look for a REAL 911 "classic" :D

Don - It doesn't need to be original to be cool (and worthy of a post here). Looks like a sweet car to me!

Are 914/6's welcome here? (as long as the 'teeners' stay on topic with drivetrain conversation)

Sure! 914's, 914-6's, 356's, etc., etc., etc. All Porsches are welcome here.

If the interest is high enough then we'll give you your forum.

Some of us actually owned (and mod'ed) a 914 :D

Don,

Where did you come across that picture? It is Aaron Pfadt's car. It's a '73. He did very well as a rookie at the pca race at Mid Ohio in May. I think the high tech exhaust helped!

Your picture is from a DE there last year.

Patrick,

I was just curious re: the '73 in your picture. Is that the PSE for that model & year?

Sorry, I just couldn't resist!

Way better than the PSE, this is a very light weight high tech polymer composite exhaust. We don't have anything to base this on but wild speculation and conjecture, but we jumped to the conclusion that it doubles the horsepower! <_<
