I have developed a misfire while accelerating from low revs. Seems not misfire in the higher rev range.

Also seems to develope when engine up to temperature but cannot be 100% sure of this.

No fault codes shown which seems a little strange.

Can anyone help with this problem I'm having.

Do you get any CEL?? If you can't get any codes, then it probably could be bad coil packs ( cracked) . Have you had any work done on the car recently??

I had the same problem. I wasn't getting a code so I just replaced all my spark plugs and coil packs and now the car runs like a champ. :P

Not had any work done recently. Car runs beautifully at high revs, just low revs runs a bit lumpy.

Think if it was coil packs it would show in high revs. Strange that when engine cold seems fine but only when warm does it idle badly and misfires under acceleration.

Will look at replacing plusgs to see if it cures.

Eviebo. Here is a picture of one my plugs and a coil packs new versus old. You can see the cracked housing on one of the spark plugs. My car ran very timed taking off from 1st and 2nd gear. I had no problems at higher RPMS previous to the change. I believe this and or the cracked coil packs were the culprit. You can find quite a few helpful posts on this topic. A fault code check and a read out of the "actual values" menu with a PIWIS or an equivalent (if it exists) diagnostic tool can provide results faster and cheaper than replacing parts randomly. A contaminated throttle body and LMM exhibit the same symptoms without the "check engine" lit.

Thanks for the advice.

Just to let you know. Problem has got steadily worse. Misfiring when engine cold and warm!!! Engine warning "check" light comes on sometimes when really struggling to pick up revs. Do you think diagnostics will pick up fault code now warning light comes on ? Did not pick up codes before.

A fault code readout should always be the first thing to do, whether the CEL is on or not, with a good diagnostic tool.
