I have a 2002 C4S Carrera White manual with 60,000 miles.

My question is after a 300 plus mile run there is a dusty black film on the back of the car. This must be a little blow by. If so how much blow by is normal? What is strange it is not using oil or at least not enough to show up on the dipstick or the electronic monitoring?

Thanks for you help

hopefully this would be caused by road conditions and not an oil leak. how about under the car? anything going on under there? (that's a good drive from SLC south to St. George and beyond....pretty country.)

The majority of that black film is tire / brake dust! Deep breaths w/ the windows wide open............

Under the car is clean as a whistle no leaks what so ever.

Seems to have a consensus that it is just from the road. There are quite a few pretty and fun drives in Southern Utah.

Thanks
