Has anyone removed their dash to deep-clean the vents? Are there photos of how to do this?

I know some detailers remove the dashes of the vehicles to really clean everything well.

I guess I could use an Odor Bomb or something like that, but if it's not too difficult... :P

Thanks in advance!

Nevemind! I just figured out how to pop out the vents with a flat-head screwdriver. I really need to clean them because it smells a little musty and smoky in there from the previous owner.

On another note - does anyone know how I can remove the small wires on the vents? What are they for?

I would like to put them in a bucket to clean them and I can't do that with the wires! Thanks.

Hi,

I had a simular problem with a mildew smell in my 06 Cayenne and all I did to get rid of it was to replace the the cabin Filter with a new one. Problem solved!!!!!

If you're having odor problems be sure to clear the front cowl drains and replace the cabin filter.

Great, thanks! Where are these 2 items?? Is their location in the owner's manual? Thanks again!

You can google Porsche Cayenne cabin air filter replacement instructions and it will come up.

The cabin filter is under the passenger side of the dashboard......it is behind a small door that has to be removed to access it.
