Do I need any special tools to do the oil change on my 98 2.5? And is there anything i should look out for?

I know it's a dumb question, but after all I'm new to this!

Excellent instruction from Loren as always.

I just want to add two things:

1. Try not to drop the drain screw in a disposal container, it blocked the hole of the container and I had to deal with some mess.

2. I had to let the oil drain overnight, since thin stream never ended. It may/maynot matter, but I heard that amounts to 1 grt.

Excellent points, but I have to disagree with the overnight comment. You need to make sure you car is on a flat surfacr or at least a minor incline to the drain plug. I can't imagine it coming to 1 qt.

I will agree with you on the plug though. I have used a process where I get it to the point where it is about half way then use my fingers to rotate out so when it removes itself form the threads I can just take it away albeit a bit messy on the fingers :)
