Hello all - new 02 Boxster S owner. Car is fantastic - low mileage and perfect.

When I got it I found an ipod cable from PO attached to porsche head unit. It charges the ipod, but I have no idea how to switch to it via the radio. Someone must have one and any info will help. I have no idea what brand connector it is FYI.

Thanks!

Your radio is likely a CDR-220 and has an AUX input that the iPod is using.

Just switch from AUX back to radio. Try pressing the "S" button for source.

If the car has both CD Changer (in the front trunk) and AUX input then there would be a another switch to switch between the AUX and the CD Changer. In that case, it could be anywhere as it would be an aftermarket switch.

Thanks for the reply. I went into the setup and AUX was turned on, but doesn't show up in when I rotate thru the S button. I get CD, Magazine (need to get one), and FM1 FM2 AM. I was surprised AUX didn't show. Its very strange. The car does have a CD changer and Bose, but the CD Changer is missing the cassette and have one coming. Not sure if thats what is messing it up. Bummed I have not figured it out since I love the idea of playing the ipod thru the stock head.

The CD Changer is already on AUX. Either the previous owner disconnected the CD Changer for the iPod or they mounted a switch to switch between the two (as there is only one AUX input).

Thanks. The magazine is missing so I am getting a new one (not sure where that went). Maybe thats screwing it up.
