Got my first Porsche at the age of 26, a 944 S2 1990 model year.

Got my first 911 at the the begining of this year, aged 37 996 C4 2002 model year.

55 - got my first - 01 996 Cab

Kids were (finally)out of college and working. I had "eased" my wife into weekend rides with a '89 560SL MB (age 52). Felt that with the global economic conditions, better get one now, so I traded up... I'm not having a mid life crisis (I probably passed mid life years ago). I figure now I'm SKIING, Spending Kids Inheritance.

I am sick of hearing about this "mid life crisis" green with envy, sucking lemons, bull shine!

I am 42 and have just bought a shiny black 2004 996 C2 Tiptronic, and I love it!

I drove a 911 SC regularly when I was in my teens that belonged to a female friend of mine, it was a platonic friendship and she loved a younger man driving her round in the summer. We had a great deal of fun; sadly, she died of cancer last year at 50.

I'm single with no kids and no worries, never been married and never been in a crisis. I've simply realized a lifelong ambition before it's my turn to knock on those pearly gates, that said, if this is my "mid life" I'll be enjoying the car for a long while yet! :D

21! And that was two years ago. Well, I didn't buy it for myself actually. I saved up and bought it for my dad. He always wished he could have been able to purchase a boxster, so I took it one step ahead and bought him a Carrera instead! Hoping to buy my own p-car or f-car in '12 or '13! :)
