Help,

I just purchesed a 2001 Boxster S with the Front & Rear Spoilers Aerokit and I noticed that the movable rear spoiler does not function. Before I start poking around where I shouldent poke around I thought I would ask someone, with far more knowledge then myself, if this is normal. My thoughts are that the automatic rear spoiler was dismantled after the areokit was installed.

Thanks,

Mike

real possibility

You could check if the manual raising switch works, it is in the foot well on the wheel arch side

Thanks,

I tried the manual switch with no luck. The fuse seems to be ok as well. I understand that there are some relays in the trunk; however, I didn't want to start unplugging things if there wasn't any real problem.

Maybe a silly question. Do you have the factory kevlar spoiler and lid that are covering the original spoiler, or you have the wing attached too the original lid? In the first case the original spoiler it's removed and deactivated so you cannot see it. The factory Kevlar lid it's longer covering the original spoiler spot.

The wing is attached too the original lid. The original spoiler is still in place. I believe the factory option Front & Rear Spoilers Aerokit is installed on my car.

Then I guess the spoiler was deactivated by the dealer as the usually do when they install the AK2.
