Has anyone ever encountered low pressure for the windshield washer fluid? When I pull on the wiper stalk I hear the pump but it barely spits anything out. It's just leaking back onto its self.

Any ideas?

I had this problem on an older 911, and replaced the washer pump several times over the years. could be the problem. another issue is the clogging of the nozzles. clean them with a pin, or thin copper wire, and see what happens. and.... to avoid flooding either the front of your older car, or the area wherever the pump is located in your 996, if you do replace the pump remember that druck means pressure, and behagen means tank.

I had the T-fitting by the battery crack and break loose and do this, too. May be obvious already from where the wet spot is, but if you remove the plastic in the front trunk to expose the piping and have someone work the wipers, should be pretty easy to see where it's coming from.

thanks guys, I'll examine a little closer for cracked line. It's not the temp. the car is in heated garage. I'll keep you all posted.
