3.6 conversion - to change ABS or not

I read in the previous posts that you need to change abs from 5.3 to 5.7 to get the speedometer to work. Looking at the Boxster manual I noticed that the new Boxster still works on 5.3, but no wt/br wire for speed uotput for the cluster. Anyway to get aroud changing the ABS. If I need to change it what is the part number; that includes the pump itself?

So other question : a 5.3 from 2001 will work or I need a 5.7 from 2002 or newer? Can I reprogram my 5.3 2000 with the 2001 5.3 software?

I ordered a 2001 5.3 that should work with the cluster. Now I noticed that in 2001 tiptronic bain does not get the speed reading directly but thru the CAN. The rest of the wiring should be fine. I might have to change the tip brain too. 2001? I'll wait to see if it works first. :(

If it doesn't I can try to connect to the front out sensors on the abs that are still available.
