Good evening,

997 C2S

My two forward air intakes for the oil cooler radiators are full of s---t!*%#$@.

These receses have managed to entrain all sorts of refuse, ie, leaves, trash, cig butts, bugs, etc., etc.,......

It is a pia to get the junk out of there. I used a car wash vacuum and couldn't get it all after two dollars.

Some of the detritus entered through the central (license plate area) void.

There must be some after market screen that will permit air entry while blocking the trash.

I've seen other model years with screens where our louvers are located.

Anybody know of a product to eliminate the accumulation of crap there?

Thanks,

Ed

Those are not oil coolers but engine water/coolant coolers.

If you do a search on the board you will find several solutions using screens from Boxsters to GT3s.

With the retains frame around the bumper openings it ought to be fairly easy to attach screes to the back side of the bumper.

If you get your car serviced at the dealer, these are supposed to be cleaned out. We use an air gun, and if you blow it in at the right angle, all the leafs and debris fly out.
