Hi All,

Evaluating a 06 997 C2; it was recommended to me that I should ask for the diagnostic report...but would not know what to look for - assume generic fault codes and to what extent is has been red-lined?

Your recommendations are appreciated.

Hi Paul,

If you use the durametric diagnostics software on it you can see various levels of info regarding over-revs, plus any fault codes that are currently not cleared from any of the engine management or control modules.

Just bought one myself, and would recommend it to anyone who even thinks of buying a second hand 997.1+. You can pick up the Enthusiast Version for a few hundred notes and it will save you buying a thrashed car. Also, although the Enthusiast Version only works fully on three cars/VIN's it is purported to allow you to run the over-revs diagnostics on any number of cars. Check out the durametric website...
