2009 spoiler stop light

I replaced the factory rear hatch/spoiler on a 2009 C2 with a GT3 style rear wing and decklid. I removed the limit switches for the factory spoiler and have them tie wrapped with the contacts closed so the computer doesn't think the spoiler has failed but I keep getting an error message to check the spoiler stoplight. Does anyone know how to wire this to keep the message from showing up every time I start the car?

I think you will need the GT3 wiring harness for the rear deck lid. It was the same way on the older series (997-1 and 996).

Thanks, I was making it harder than it needs to be. Checked with my dealers parts dept and the harness only runs $52. Should have figured Porsche would have it covered. :D

On the other hand the new high mount might be LEDs whereas the old one was incandescent..??

Other than opening up the current flow detection module and modifying it adding resistors parallel to the LED might be the only solution

I got the GT3 wiring harness and wired it up. Still get a check light for the rear spoiler brake light. Is there anyway the dealer can reprogram

things to take out this annoying warning at each startup?

Hmm... I wonder if you have the wrong harness?

They should be able to check it with a PIWIS tester.
