Here I go again... I guess I am bored and thank goodness I have an old car where I can get busy on... I am looking at changing the differential oil. I am not sure I need to but the car has been rolling for a while and I would preffer to not overlook this.

Is there a DIY on this for a 2.5L 97 boxster?

(Could not find any post on this Topic on Boxster forums)

Excuse my ignorance... But there must be a different compartment for the differential oil then the transmission oil compartment. I have the transmission oil instructions. Now I need the differential.

Nope, unless you have a Tiptronic or... unless you somehow managed to get a 4WD Boxster ;)

I have the bits at the top of the pic for the drain and fill plugs needed for a 2.5.

Bruce, who was at the tech session/wine tasting has a shop with a lift, but he needs arms for a Boxster. I am too old to crawl under the car on a driveway. :P

If Bruce gets his shop in order then we would have a place to do this kind of stuff.

For now I think I can do the crawling under the car... How much are the arms for the boxster? is it something that can be changed on the lift? or is a different lift needed?
